Boko Haram: Buhari reacts as Nigerian soldiers die in deadly ambush in Borno

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the lack of soldiers who had been ambushed by terrorists in Gorgi Village, Borno State.

DAILY POST had reported that Nigerian troops were ambushed in a significant calculated assault by Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday.

The incident befell after a navy operation in Alagarno axis of Borno State.

The insurgents reportedly used the data supplied by their native collaborators to stage an ambush.

Reacting, Buhari in an announcement by his Senior Special Assistant on (Media & Publicity) Garba Shehu, on Tuesday, stated the “sacrifices of our gallant patriots can’t be quantified, and their sacrifices can’t go in useless,’’

Commiserating with their households and those who sustained accidents he stated the demise of each soldier causes deep ache as a result of he is aware of what it means to be a soldier, and totally understands the acute dangers related to the career.

“Despite the tragedies and incidents, we can’t enable anarchists and mass murderers to carry the nation hostage.’’

He, due to this fact, appealed to the navy to not enable the incident to have an effect on their morale.

He assured that his administration will proceed to encourage and equip them adequately in order to deal with the advanced challenges of unconventional warfare.
