The Division of State Providers is but to launch detained activists, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare, regardless of being served a recent court docket order by a bailiff of the Federal Excessive Court, Abuja, on Thursday.
The brand new order was signed by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the identical court docket following the perfection of bail situations by the defendants.
Recall that the DSS had on Wednesday turned again the court docket bailiff and the defendants’ legal professionals, who had gone to serve the court docket order, claiming that they’d closed for the day as at 3:30pm.
The court docket bailiff and legal professionals had been requested to return on Thursday by 10:30am to serve the DSS the recent order for his or her launch.
Although the court docket bailiff succeeded in serving the order to the DSS on Thursday morning, the company is but to adjust to the directive.
One of many legal professionals, Effiong Inibehe, who confirmed the event to SaharaReporters, mentioned, “I simply left Sowore and Mandate on the DSS headquarters, I can verify that the company has been served with the order of Federal Excessive Court directing their launch having perfected their bail situations.
“We are waiting for compliance. I cannot say more than this now.”
