How faeces chased teachers, pupils out of school in Ibadan [PHOTOS]

Lecturers and pupils in one of the first faculties in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, Ibadan Municipal Main School, Mokola, have deserted six out of the 13 buildings in the school.

DAILY POST gathered from the lecturers that that they had no different choice than to desert the buildings as a result of of incessant defecation by some unknown residents across the school.

Our correspondent gathered on Thursday that the school which accommodates 4 different faculties in its compound, is predominantly attended by the pupils from Sabo.

The school is positioned inside Ibadan North native authorities space of the state.

Our correspondent who visited the school stories that doorways, home windows and buildings in the school are dilapidated, whereas bushes have grown round main school rooms in the school.

One of the lecturers of the school who spoke in confidence with our correspondent, insisted that open defecation in the lecture rooms after work hours chased them out of some courses.

He stated, “My brother, I’m drained of this school. When you discover, our pupils are simply bringing desk and chairs from the principle corridor. If we go away our chairs in the category, they’ll destroy it and even take it away earlier than the next day.

“Essentially the most painful factor is that the pupils should not prepared to return to school.

“Many a time, we go to their homes to search for them. You can not consider that that is taking place in the guts of Ibadan the place we’ve elites.

“As you’re looking on the new construction up there, they’ve tousled its back and front with faeces. For the previous few years now, authorities has not accomplished the constructing for utilization. We’re doomed in Nigeria.

“We have just five teachers in this school. We don’t have enough chairs and table, as you can see the pupils sitting on the floor.”

Nevertheless, all efforts made by DAILY POST to get the reactions of the Govt Chairman, Oyo State Common Primary Schooling Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran failed as calls put by means of his phone line weren’t attended to.

Additionally, messages despatched to Mr. Adeniran on Friday asking him to react to the event haven’t been replied as of the time of submitting this report.
