Taiwo Oyedeji, an Ibadan-based automobile supplier, on Tuesday informed a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve his 17-year-old marriage to his spouse, Aminat, as a result of he might not afford to share her with different males.
Giving testimony earlier than Chief Ademola Odunade, the President of the court docket, Taiwo, a resident of Fatusi space in Ibadan, mentioned that he filed the swimsuit as a result of he might not address a spouse “who had made herself a public tap from where all men fetch water.

“In a disguise, I changed my voice and spoke like Aminat and the man believed that he was talking to his concubine.
“In the conversation, the man said that since the last time he and my wife enjoyed each other, he had travelled down to Ile-Ife and that he would soon be returning to Ibadan so that they can both continue their escapades.
“In fact, when I confronted her, Aminat smashed a stick on my neck,” Taiwo mentioned.
He added that his spouse went so far as reporting him to a radio station in Ibadan in order that the presenter of a sure program might assist to beg him.
However, the respondent denied the allegation leveled in opposition to her and consented to the swimsuit.
Aminat, a dealer, argued that her husband was as a substitute, an unrepented cheat.

In his judgment, Odunade dissolved the union and granted custody of the primary youngster to the plaintiff and the final two to the defendant.
He directed Taiwo to pay N10,000 as the kids’s month-to-month feeding allowance, along with being liable for their schooling and different welfare.
