Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Minister of Data and Tradition, believes
Boko Haram have been technically defeated regardless of continued onslaughts
by the terrorist group.
The minister said this on Monday when he paid a working go to to the
new company headquarters of The Solar in Lagos.
Fielding questions from the editorial board of the newspaper led by
the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, Onuoha Ukeh, the minister
stated Nigeria was at the moment going through international terrorism.
He said, “I stand by what I stated that Boko Haram is technically defeated.
“What we’re having at the moment is international terrorism the place you may have ISIS,
ISWAP, Al-Qaeda all working collectively.
“Terrorism is a worldwide situation. Between 2009 and 2015 we have been preventing
Boko Haram, however at the moment we’re preventing international terrorism the place the
remnants of the Military in Syria at the moment are becoming a member of arms with the ISWAP and
Mohammed stated his place in 2015 that Boko Haram was technically
defeated was based mostly on what he noticed.
He defined, “I used to be on the bottom in Bama, Konduga, and Maiduguri and
I do know what I noticed earlier than I made that declare.
“We’re preventing international terrorism and that’s the reason we’re interesting to
our overseas companions, particularly the UN and our neighbours.
“By the point we get extra platforms and the brand new helicopters which are
being anticipated there shall be an incredible enchancment.”
