Nigerian Senate Shuts Down Over Coronavirus Pandemic

Nigeria Senate on Tuesday adjourned sitting for 2 weeks over the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

The determination which was introduced by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan got here after a two-hour shut door session.

They are to renew on seventh of April, 2020.

They additionally requested the Federal Government to dedicate funds particularly to combat the scourge, including that states throughout the Federation also needs to be assisted with funds.

Lawan enjoined Senators to be careful for any emergency, whereas he requested the Senate Committee on Health and Communicable Disease to maneuver into motion to make sure correct coordination of actions.
